carmichael 0 Posted September 8, 2009 So the installer for this game wont run on XP. I created a Win98 virtual machine, installed it on that, then copied the files to my host XP machine and the game runs smoothly - even Direct3D accelerated at 800x600. The problem is that after playing for a minute or two, the fps drops to below 10. I can fix it by quickly changing the resolution while in game but it keeps on coming back again. I ran the game under win95 and win98 compatibility mode with the same results. Googling a bit showed that there was a patch for the game: http://www.actiontrip.com/files/patches/twistedmetal2.phtml The download links are broken and searching for that file name does not find a valid download link. Any idea if this patch would fix this problem? Or any other things to try? Share this post Link to post
Rootkit 0 Posted October 16, 2009 Congratulation for the game (it was wonderful!!!): 1) Have you tried to install it on normal XP? Use the compatibility? 2) Try to install it inside onether machine (friend). 3) Try to install it with clean PC (post format). Many games run with 16 bits. Share this post Link to post
