Four and Twenty 0 Posted January 31, 2001 Is there any way to disable this warning. I have a friend with a laptop and win2k and a mem stick with a pcmcia adapter. Every time he pulls out the stick or the card he gets Unsafe removal of device. Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted January 31, 2001 Is that because he didn't stop the device prior to removal? Generally, it's a good idea to stop the device first, but most of the time you can get away with it. Check the PCMCIA icon properties. I *think* there is an option to stop displaying warnings. ------------------ Regards, clutch Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted January 31, 2001 I know that you are suposed to stop the device but that is more of a pain in the a.ss than just click ok when it warns you. I have not been able to figure out where to turn this warning off. Share this post Link to post
DeadCats 0 Posted January 31, 2001 I dunno how to turn it off, either, but if you find out, please post it. ------------------ "Being married to a programmer is like owning a cat.
