anak1 0 Posted January 30, 2001 I believe you have to manually enable ATA 66 in Win2K. Some registry setting, i dont remember which. ATA 100 support is coming in SP2 I believe. Share this post Link to post
Gladiator 0 Posted January 30, 2001 Yes, I've tried that, as well as using some of the tweak guides from various websites, all to no avail. lexluthor 0 Posted January 30, 2001 whats the pagefile min/max set to? make sure they are both set to the same setting. changing pagefile size on the fly is horridly slow. u have the same system memory i do so u can set your pagefile to cache only when nessesary HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management and set this dword to DisablePagingExecutive 1 war Share this post Link to post
zalem 0 Posted January 30, 2001 Try a standard ata 33 ide cable instaed of the ata 100 ide cable, since win2k doesnt support ata 100 until sp2. Or call microsoft to get the pre-sp2 hotfix for ata100 support Share this post Link to post
