SHS 0 Posted February 3, 2001 VFW suck & two you didn't look very hard if had scoll half down http://www.hauppauge.com/html/sw_wcst.htm You would had seen this, "WDM drivers for WinTV pci boards (not for the WinTV-D or the WinTV-Theater)" http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/wintv98/wdm220.exe or very latest are at ftp://ftp.hauppauge.com/hcws/Support/Wdm2K.EXE all you find a newer WinTV2000 there as well Here how uninstall go to the folder ?:\Program Files\WinTV\ copy this hcwclear.exe to a temp folder then run it unimstall everything then install WMD drivers & reboot. Silent-IQ 0 Posted February 5, 2001 hehe, thanx SHS but i do check those things before screaming here...hehe...well that is not the problem but this is: now why is that "no drivers are installed for this device" i seem not to find a reason for that. ey? //Silent. Share this post Link to post
SHS 0 Posted February 5, 2001 I'am can in sure you that not the problem both Win2k & Win98 show the same thing with WDM drivers. May went DBL check everthing and be sure Line-In is not in mute mode on the sound card. Share this post Link to post
Silent-IQ 0 Posted February 6, 2001 i think that the problems lies in the registry coz when i was unistalling my drivers and apps with the hwclean.exe thing the program wouldnt execute correct but unistalled some things and then crash...i will try unistalling my apps and drivers again with the hwclean.exe.... thanx for the help SHS. //Silent. Mark W 0 Posted February 7, 2001 SHS: Is the WDM driver really much better for you? I found the picture to be much less sharp (fuzzy even) in comparision to the VFW driver that (knock on wood) does not give me any problems. Am I missing something? Share this post Link to post
Silent-IQ 0 Posted February 7, 2001 that might be true (but am not sure), coz i found out also that with the wdm drivers i got worse picture, looked like the reception over cabel tv was worse with wdm, no matter what i have to stick with wdm coz my wfm want work for me. AND i still cant get the sound working damn it! //Silent. Share this post Link to post
SHS 0 Posted February 8, 2001 That will bepend how you went watch it Full screen or Windows Screen mode WDM drivers can go Full Screen and yes it is a bit fuzzy at Full Screen Mode so you rigth sum what here why well that has to do with WinTV2000 & WinTV32. Here a Hint get dTV reply back on what you see. http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/ VFW drivers can't go Full Screen and I for one don't like 320x240 box and the rest a black broder ekkk so it going look better then WDM do.
