gluev 0 Posted February 5, 2001 I have installed intel ultra ata storage driver but now i can't see my ide cd rom... I see all my ide drive as SCSI drive but i have lost my cd rom what can i do? Share this post Link to post
MarksmanX 0 Posted February 5, 2001 Don't install your IDE CD-ROM drive on the controller. Install the IDE CD-ROM on your motherboard. Windows 2000 thinks the IDE controller is a SCSI card and it assumes that all the Hard Drives are SCSI. ------------------ Supermicro P6DBE Rev 3.1 Motherboard Dual Intel Pentium III 850 512 MEGS of ECC RAM Sound Blaster Live! gluev 0 Posted February 5, 2001 How do you choose where to install the cd rom? On the motherboard? Share this post Link to post
MarksmanX 0 Posted February 5, 2001 You will notice on your motherboard you have a Primary IDE Channel and a Secondary IDE Channel. Take your IDE CD-ROM ribbon and connect it to which one is available. Also go your bios setting to make sure it is properly detected.
