news 28 Posted October 13, 2009 A few weeks ago we looked at the launch of the Radeon 5870 and followed it up with a look at the 5850 and various partner cards last week. The new 5800 series impressed us thanks to its excellent performance and features such as full support for DirectX 11. In fact, it is probably fair to say that in the high end market there is really no competition for the Radeon 5800s right now. In the mainstream segment things were not quite as clear cut though, Nvidia and ATI both provide some value packed products with each having its own selling points. Today ATI aim to change that situation with the release of the 5770 and 5750. These two products are priced to target (and undercut) the GTS 250 and GTX 260. Can ATI take control of the mainstream graphics market?
