It goes to a blue screen when loading (2nd loading screen, with the logo) and sasys something about there maybe a virus or uninstall any new hdd or hdd controllers then reset then I put back my old motherboard and everything runs fine, whats the prob ? ------------------ Share this post Link to post
Bursar 0 Posted February 21, 2001 The problem is down to the hard disk controllers. I had the exact same problem when I went from an Intel 440BX2 to an Intel D815EEA. The only way around it is a reinstall of Win2k so it can detect your new disk controllers. Share this post Link to post

BladeRunner 0 Posted February 21, 2001 Go into your motherboard BIOS and set the boot order to boot from CD first. All Windows 2000 CD's are bootable. Boot from the CD and run the installation that way. Share this post Link to post

three 0 Posted February 21, 2001 actually by booting using the cd you can click on 'repair windows' and that should do the trick. i did that in the past, but ended up doing a clean install since i wanted to have a clean os Share this post Link to post
