anda 0 Posted July 8, 2003 When i boot from CD-ROM, setup start but after 5 - 10 seconds i got a message that tells: I/O problems (or kind of) I can't handle with it! You may restart your system. If i start setp with ALT1 appears next message: There is no directory or file name (or kind of) I can't handle with it! You may restart your system. I have a K6-2 with 500Mhz, RAM 128Mb, ALI CHIPSET MOTHERBOARD. What should i do? Share this post Link to post
Tekchip 0 Posted July 9, 2003 Well typically I/O errors are caused by either an issue with RAM or the hard drive. Do you have some other operating system installed on the system? When was the last time you ran a full scan disk to ensure there isn't a hard drive problem? Those would be the only things I could think of. But then again my specialty isn't installs. Hopefully some one else will have a better idea of what goes on during the install. Share this post Link to post
souldreamer 0 Posted July 9, 2003 Is there any news on Red Hat 9.0 A? I hope they give us 1024*768 support for GeForce 4 Share this post Link to post
Tekchip 0 Posted July 10, 2003 I'm not sure what version of Redhat or the Nvidia drivers your useing but 1024x768 works just fine in RH9. You sure you have the right monitor profile selected? Share this post Link to post
