Othernickname 0 Posted March 19, 2001 Hi, I am considering installing Win2000 on my Toshiba Satellite 4060xcdt laptop (currently running Win98se). I read on this site that it works fine "without any new drivers". Does that apply to a clean install? When I switched from 95 to 98 I had to get new drivers from Toshiba (which I found on their German website, worth a visit). Does anyone know whether all these drivers are included in Win2000? Toshiba does not provide any Win2000 drivers for this model. Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted March 19, 2001 You should have an easy time of upgrading tho cause toshiba suports win2k very well unlike some other companies. If toshiba's website says that it needs no additional drivers then you probly woln't. [This message has been edited by Four and Twenty (edited 19 March 2001).] Share this post Link to post
Othernickname 0 Posted March 19, 2001 Thanks for your answer, Four and Twenty. Actually I read this on ntcompatible.com (see http://www.ntcompatible.com/tb.shtml ). Toshiba used to say the device was Win2000 ready before Win2000 was released. They provide Win2000 utilities for it but do not mention anything about drivers.
