Asus gives my mouse sudden stops

I just installed my new Asus A7A mainboard and now my mouse is acting weird.. but I don't think it is the mouse. The mouse pointer just stops all the sudden.. but then continues like normal.. and stops.. and so on.

 

Can anyone help me out? What should I do?

Btw, I'm using Win2k

Did you update to the latest bios?
