trom120 0 Posted April 13, 2001 I can't shut down Win2k properly. Everytime I try to restart or shutdown (or even log off admin) the process "devldr.exe" comes up and cannot shut itself off. When I hit end now, nothing happens. Can't shutdown, restart, log off, etc., and no programs run because windows is "supposedly" shutting down. Please help... Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted April 14, 2001 You can probably blame your sound card for this. Look at this thread: http://www.ntcompatible.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/004098.html and try the fixes they mention there. -- Xiven Share this post Link to post
trom120 0 Posted April 14, 2001 Thanks for the reply. I checked that string and found it helpful to mess around with the suggestions there for the file devldr.exe. I'm having no problem shutting down now. Thanks again! Share this post Link to post
