London, United Kingdom - Indie software developer Simon Watson today introduces Chromixa, his new color-blending puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch. Developed specifically to leverage the iPhone's unique capabilities and touch interface, Chromixa is based on the primary colors of light. The goal is to overlap shapes of red, green and blue light to complete beautiful puzzles. With its simple one-finger controls, Chromixa is easy to play but difficult to master and offers a simple yet compelling concept which creates progressively harder puzzles. Like a jigsaw of light, the goal is to move shapes of red, green and blue light so that they overlap to create a new colored shape. As players complete puzzles, the points they earn can be used to unlock fun arcade-style mini games. Feature Highlights: * 48 classic puzzles * 3 arcade-style mini games to unlock and play * Animated introduction tutorial * Simple one finger controls * Easy to pick up * Original music soundtrack by Stian Stark * Solve puzzles in any order, with no time limit * Quick puzzle reset * Gamers can play their own music A fun and addictive mental challenge for all ages, Chromixa offers a beautifully-simple, minimalist geometric interface. It features original music by Stian Stark (gamers can play their own music too), sports 3 arcade-style mini games, and 48 classic puzzles. The game also serves uniquely to help users better understand color theory and the science of light. There is a built-in animated tutorial that helps communicate the color-mixing concept. "The idea for Chromixa came from working on pieces of light art. The way that red, green, and blue light combine lends itself perfectly to a beautiful and simple puzzle game," said Simon Watson, developer of the game. "The touch controls of the iPhone create a wonderfully interactive and relaxing experience, letting the player manipulate shapes of light with their fingers. The App Store provides a fun way to share creative ideas with a wider audience. The early feedback has been fantastic, with everyone enjoying its uniqueness and addictive qualities." Language Support: * US English, German, French, Italian and Spanish Device Requirements: * iPhone or iPod touch 2.2.1 or later Pricing and Availability: Chromixa is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
