three 0 Posted April 16, 2001 i have tried about everything and can't seem to be able to flash the bios. i am absolutely positive that i have the correct flash utility as well as the correct bios but everytime i try, it prompts me with a 'file size does not match' error. i even tried to flash the old saved bios and it still gives me the same error. ECS was of no help. wondering if anybody had this problem before? P2 333MMX ECS Elitegroup P6BA-A+ Bios V1.1 692-596-W977-P6BA-A 09/17/1998 Flash Type -ATMEL 29C010A /5V Share this post Link to post
Tim Bazzinett 0 Posted April 21, 2001 Just went throught the same thing, but the board was a dualie from ECS (actually, the generic BXAD from Maxtium). I flashed to a newer BIOS, and then it would not flash back to an older one. So I nearly gave up. But then I tried the awdflash utility with the /f option (use original routine, or something like that) and it worked finally. Now, it may be coincidental that I used the /f option, but this time the BIOS utility actually worked for me. You could try that. Share this post Link to post
