Vienna based Eternal Storms Software today announced the immediate availability of flickery 1.7. flickery is a unique desktop flickr client for Mac OS X 10.5 which combines the flickr photo-community with the ease-of-use and elegance of Mac OS X. Easily upload photos and videos to your Flickr photostream, organize items in photosets and groups, browse Favorites, and more. flickery 1.7 features preferences for users to customize the look and feel of the application and many minor improvements.

 

Vienna, Austria - Eternal Storms Software today announced the immediate availability of a maintenance update for flickery, advancing it to version 1.7. flickery is a unique desktop flickr client for Mac OS X 10.5 which combines the flickr photo-community with the ease-of-use and elegance of Mac OS X. flickery 1.7 lets users customize the look and feel of the application, adds more options for uploading like autoresizing of photos and loads more than 30 items at once. All-in-all, flickery 1.7 provides more than 55 new features, improvements and bug fixes.

 

flickery makes it very easy for flickr users to manage their account. Uploading photos and videos is a matter of a few clicks and the application provides the user with basic editing functionality like cropping, resizing, rotating and effects. flickery easily lets you stay in touch with your family, friends and other contacts by the pictures they post. Browse everyone's photostream, their favorites or their photosets. If you're looking for a particular photo or video, flickery helps users even with that (and a flickr account is not even required)! Search for just the items you want by filtering by licenses, videos or photos, date taken or uploaded, tags, title and description.

 

New features in version 1.7 include:

* Preferences for uploading, downloading and browsing

* Photos can be set as desktop pictures

* Items' metadata can now be edited in windowed mode

* Increased the number of items loaded to 100

* Drag and Drop to Finder now downloads items

* For flickery to run, an internet connection is mandatory

* A flickr account is not necessary but recommended

 

Pricing and Availability:

flickery has a 15-day fully functional trial available. For users that have already exceeded the 15-day trial period, this update adds five more days to test the new version. After the trial period has passed, users can purchase the application for $19.20 (USD) or 14.90 Euro. Student prices and special bulk rates are available. Version 1.7 comes as a free update for existing customers. Members of MacHeist who received flickery as a gift can purchase an upgrade at a discounted price of $9.95 or 7.50 Euro to be able to update. For the user's convenience, there are updated screencasts available to help learn flickery's functionality.
