Max? 0 Posted March 16, 2000 This is not really important, but i was wondering if there was a way to enter in a description of my computer for my network. It was easy to do with win9x but in win2k i can't find anything to do with it. I have searched the help file and poked around but i can't find anything that sheds light on this. Can it be done? DarkWolf 0 Posted March 16, 2000 Well I must say it took me about 2 mins to find the answer for this one myself. Anyway what you do is click on the start menu button and then goto settings, then click on control panel, then dbl click on system then select the Network Identification tab then I believe you click on properties!!! ------------------ DarkWolf As I walk through the Darkness and the Shadows of the Night, you should be wary as you are never out of my sight. Max? 0 Posted March 16, 2000 Thanks for the reply but i have looked here and the does not contain a computer description... i contains settings for your computer name and workgroup, no computer DESCRIPTION. look at a win98 setup if you want to know what i mean. Share this post Link to post
DarkWolf 0 Posted March 16, 2000 Well i have looked around quite extensivly through the help files and other sources and I'm at a loss for words. Sorry I didn't help you like I thought I did. Why do you need to adjust the Computer Description anyway? Just curious? P.S. I will probe further into the matter to see why I can find if anything. ------------------ DarkWolf As I walk through the Darkness and the Shadows of the Night, you should be wary as you are never out of my sight. DarkWolf 0 Posted March 22, 2000 What do you have for your Full Computer Name and your Workgroup? You can find out under the Network Identification tab. Because I think I have found your answer? Also tell me what you want the New one to be. Also tell me what it comes up with for your computer as if you were looking for it through network neighborhood. ------------------ DarkWolf As I walk through the Darkness and the Shadows of the Night, you should be wary as you are never out of my sight.
