Michael Lin 0 Posted March 24, 2000 I can boot and install win2000 from IDE CD-Rom but why I can not boot it form SCSI CD-Rom and install? It shows "Can't open from CD-ROM.--Code4" But I boot Win98 bootable CD from this SCSI CD-Rom. My SCSI Card:AHA-2940 SCSI CD-Rom :TEAC CD-532S [This message has been edited by Michael Lin (edited 25 March 2000).] Share this post Link to post
Marak 0 Posted March 24, 2000 Make sure that your motherboard supports SCSI boot and that if it does, it supports your card. You may also try setting the SCSI ID of the CD-ROM drive to other variables. If you also have a non-SCSI CD/DVD-Drive this might be causing some confusion at the motherboard.
