Sparkhard 0 Posted October 18, 2000 hey I was wondering. is there any big difference in operation from Windows 2k Professional and Windows 2k Advanced Server? What are the differences and is one better than the other. Does anyone recommend one the other? I am not doing anything in particular I am just contemplating the idea. Thanks, Sparkhard Share this post Link to post
INFERNO2000 0 Posted October 18, 2000 Through my experience, Advanced Server tends to give the illusion of things running more quickly... However, I have most of the services cut down to Professional Level. I just use Adv Ser now for it's Terminal Services so I can play Counterstrike and Quake games on computers in the ACS Lab Advanced Server's startup is shades of blue, as opposed to Pro's multicolored picture. Not that it's an important difference...I just really hate yellow You'd be getting 2000. And that's all that is important.
