jdulmage 0 Posted December 27, 2000 You have sent a message! here is a good tech question for you.... I'm on webtoolsplus.com, all of a sudden, it's saying "404 error"...what the hell, so I refresh the page....a yahoo.com error comes up "Sorry, we could not find http://www.webtoolsplus.com/tlq3/index.html Click refresh again, says "JoteNet.net 404 Error". Refresh it again, just a regular 404 error, refresh again. WWF.com 404 error saying that WWF could not find http://www.webtoolsplus.com/tlq3/index.html. Refresh again, site shows up finally, but all of the images are broken....go ahead, figure it out... The same thing happens with other sites too, not just webtoolsplus.com thanks for any help, if any can be given...I have already reinstalled IE, and I ended up reinstalling my whole OS for a different reason...so it can't be those... UPDATE ====== http://www.webtoolsplus.com and http://www.3dfx.com all redirect to http://starbase15.simplenet.com/index2.shtml for no reason what so ever. Help me!! jdulmage 0 Posted December 27, 2000 errrrr..I know, that's not the ****ing point...the point is what it doesn't matter which sites I goto, half the time, they have broken images when there shouldn't be. You refresh only to see that the WRONG 404 message comes up...you would get a Yahoo 404 error on an Ezboard.com site...you get it yet? that's what i'm getting... Share this post Link to post

ilya 0 Posted December 29, 2000 when i have that happening, i completely clear history and temp-internet files. and then go on that site again see if that works.. however, on NBA.COM what happens to me is the first time the page loads it's not loaded completely. like it has the HTML code on the page right after some table, so the rest of the page doesn't load all the way. like the tag in the code isn't closed, if you know what i mean Share this post Link to post
jdulmage 0 Posted December 29, 2000 we've figured it out...our ISP's DNS Caching was screwed up, however, they refuse to say that it's their fault ;( Share this post Link to post
Gerbache Kaznet 0 Posted December 31, 2000 Wow, that's a bizarre problem...but it's always nice to find out that it's someone else's fault Now if only I could get my computer to stop disconnecting periodically for no apparent reason.....hehe oh well Share this post Link to post
