sybrtec 0 Posted July 28, 2003 The size of the Debian sid cd1 iso in the news section says it is 4.3 GB, but when you download it, it is only 384 mb. Why is that? CD2 works fine. Share this post Link to post
Philipp 6 Posted July 28, 2003 Which program did you use to download the image? Alternatively, you can use Jigdo: http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/ The Debian SID DVD #1 jigdo file is available here: ftp://ftp.fsn.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/debian-unofficial/sid-dvd/jigdo/sid-i386-1.jigdo Share this post Link to post
Admiral LSD 0 Posted July 28, 2003 If you're going to install Sid, I wouldn't bother with the install CDs. Instead, I'd go for the netinst CD and install it that way. The net installer has its quirks but provides a much easier way to get an up to date version of Sid installed more quickly Share this post Link to post
