encrypted data on an external hardisk

I encrypted some data on an external hardisk by using winXP encryption tools.

 

then i formatted my operating system!! and installed it again

 

but i cant reach that data any more!! (which are encrypted )

 

any help??

Did you encrypt the data using Encrypting File System (EFS) in Windows XP? If so, see this Microsoft article.
