adamvjackson 0 Posted October 6, 2002 Marktait, I have pretty much that exact system, except for a few components, and just an FYI, when you order ram, you can really only use the first 2 ddr slots, as the third is shared with the 2nd. So for 1GB, you'll either need a 1gb stick or 2 512 sticks. The third slot can only be used if a single-sided chip is used in slot 2 and a single-sided chip is in slot 3. Share this post Link to post
Marktait 0 Posted October 6, 2002 Thanx adam, good job you warned me. I will be going for 2 512 Sticks. Share this post Link to post

Marktait 0 Posted November 29, 2002 My new P4 Monster in my sig which still has to have the drives and monitor renewed yet and i hope to have another 1GB of ram eventually but im poor now , and i havent had time to put my xp1800 in place of the Duron crap, my sis is to get the duron Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted November 30, 2002 I'm thinking of getting a little better Athlon for my new LAN box. Right now that 1.2GHz Duron ain't shabby, but I really cringe at having PC2700 RAM and not even really being able to make use of PC2100 speeds. I'm really regretting not spending the extra $15 for that Athlon XP1600. Share this post Link to post
