qwerty01 0 Posted March 8, 2001 Well, i'm not running at 698 anymore, running @ 770 @ 36C. Not exactly monumental, but not bad. I will go higher when I get better cooling. How hot do you guys go before you start to get worried? INFERNO, very nice. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Wow! Id like to be that cool. I dont think Ive hit above 45C/111F, but I sure wouldnt mind getting my cpu cooler. Brian Frank 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Am I gonna have a problem with heat any? Or am I still okay, cuz someone said that as long as it doesnt get above 120F you should be okay. Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted March 10, 2001 I'm high, but the heat issue is that you should be alright.Am i right eddie? My duron runs sometimes at 137.6 but i'vr got it to go dowm to 97.4 .so i don't think you have any problems. Share this post Link to post
EddiE314 0 Posted March 10, 2001 i've heard lotsa people complaining that the athons and duron het that hot, seems odd for me since my cpu doesn't get that high, try to keep it at no higher than 110 or so and you should be fine, dunnni though, cause i'm also high. Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted March 10, 2001 Yeah i agree i have heard bout people complaining bout heat issues but i'll live. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted March 11, 2001 Hey, hey, hey! Super sweet utility-CPUcool at www.tweakfiles.com cools the cpu plus a bucha other stuff too. You can select the exact motherboard (ie Asus A7V) you have and it will tell you how hot it is in either C or F, whatever your choice! The highest Ive seen it since I installed was 103F with my room heater on. I now see mid-80s F. The only annoyances are everytime you boot into windows, theres an annoying box that you have to click OK to get it away. Just make sure to hit save settings from the file menu or youll have to reset everything on reboot. Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted March 12, 2001 Well i dunno i know mine has a heat issue Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted March 14, 2001 Just figured I put up something thats free (well kinda, register just to get some annoying thing from poping up-aint worth $13) cause we all like free stuff. Plus, its a pretty cool thing, almost convinced me to send the money...almost. I just like a less than toasty cpu. Ah, what troubles we overclockers face. Share this post Link to post
