pimpin_228 0 Posted February 11, 2002 to mod or not to mod is the question? should i leave my new enlight case just a pretty new case with the standard color or should i cut some holes and give it a nice handle and some fans? Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Does anyone else have heating issues with thier t birds cause when i use my t bird just surfing and stuff but when i play cvs for like 10 mins myy cpu gets to be like in the 110's.i have to run an air conditioner in the middle of winter lol to keep it at 104 Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Are you getting instability? If so, I suggest getting the Vantec CCK-6027D. Yes, I've said it before, but this is a very good, well made and cheap cooler.5500RPM fan, so it's not too loud. I know the next two upgrades I'm getting are: an Iwill DVD266u-RN to replace my POS Abit VP6 (death to Abit!!!) and a Samsung 955DF flat-screen .20 19" monitor. Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted February 13, 2002 Your temps are perfectly fine, you dont need extra cooling at all. Share this post Link to post
felix 0 Posted February 14, 2002 I never posted to this cause I have nothing to brag about, but now I do!!!!! I'm getting a 1gHz Celeron and a GeForce2 MX400.\ Yay for me. Installed on Monday. Then I will reinstall. Max Payne will be opening a can of woopa$$ on Tuesday night in my house. Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted February 14, 2002 I am proud to say that my server has been up for almost a week with no crashes and lockups. 145 hours so far Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted February 15, 2002 W00T it made it to 168 hours and no lockups or crahses Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted February 15, 2002 Bravo! My server's been running quite well too, although I'll have to add a bigger case if we add any more drives at all. Meanwhile, I'm contemplating how to destroy my VP6. Death to Abit! Share this post Link to post
tsonta101 0 Posted February 15, 2002 if you really want to be bad to your board, you can always short-circuit on of the jumpers that are used to power additional fans.....this will definately blow at least a few capacitors up, guaranteed!!! lol Regards, tsonta101 Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted February 15, 2002 I actually got the same suggestion from a sales rep at one of the local PC shops. I dunno, as I'd kinda like to have keychains from the HPT370 controller, the Apollo Pro 133A and the 686B chips. I'd really like that...of course blowing some caps on the board would be cool too, hehehehehehehe:D Share this post Link to post

Brian Frank 0 Posted February 20, 2002 Well, I'm trying to decide between the Iwill DVD266u-RN and the SuperMicro Super P3TDDE. They both run the Via Apollo Pro 266T chipset, but the supermicro runs SDR SDRAM and Iwill uses DDR. Neither one's a problem, but I'm trying to find out about the Vcore setting for the P3TDDE, as I've got different steppings and voltages with my CPU's. So long as they'll do 1.75V to both CPU's I'll be fine. Share this post Link to post
pimpin_228 0 Posted February 21, 2002 I have no clue bout them boards, but i do know this my enlite breeze just went through some modding, 2 80 mm fans on the side, 2 80 mm fans on the bottom, 92 mm fan on the top and some wheels also look good to me Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted February 22, 2002 Well, I fixed my VP6 problem. Used the drivers off Windows Update, and the system is happy. No problems now. I also picked up the Inspire 4400 4.1 speaker set. Great speakers when paired with the Audigy. Share this post Link to post

tsonta101 0 Posted February 23, 2002 my machine (see below) does a 3D Mark 2001 score of 3150 (Detonator v27.30, Vsync off, Direct3D Mipmap Detail Level: Best Performance, GF2 MX clocked to 235/380, CPU clocked to 1.45GHz) PS, Marktait, how did you get your GF2 MX200 to give you that impressive (considering) score of 3475. What setting and drivers do you have? Regards, tsonta101 Share this post Link to post
Marktait 0 Posted February 23, 2002 I'm using det 27.10 and to be honest im not sure how its getting a score like that, Iv also got this confusing thing that the 1.2Ghz with the GF2 MX200 boots a lot faster than my XP 1700+, and i mean ALOT FASTER. So i aint sure how it gets that score, i was surprised too and also none of that system is overclocked too. ---------------------------------- 1st Computer ---------------------------------- AMD 1700+ Athlon XP ASUS A7V133A VIA Motherboard 512MB PC-133 RAM 64MB GeForce 3 Ti200 (Det 27.10) 60GB IBM 7200RPM HardDrive 16x/48x LG DVDDrive 40x Compag CDDrive 16x/10x/40x LiteON ReWriter Creative SoundBlaster Live! 1024 Player Creative 4.1 Surround Sound 1600 Speakers 10/100 Netgear Ethernet Adapter - 2nd Computer Networked WinTV Primio FM TV/Radio Tuner ---------------------------------- 2nd Computer ---------------------------------- 1.2Ghz AMD Athlon Thunderbird 512MB PC-133 RAM 64MB GeForce 2 MX200 (Det 27.10) 60GB IBM 7200RPM HardDrive 40GB Seagate 5400RPM HardDrive 16x/48x LG DVDDrive 24x/10x/40x Samsung ReWriter Creative SoundBlaster 128 10/100 Genius Ethernet Adapter - Cable Connection 10/100 Genius Ethernet Adapter - Laptop Networked 10/100 Genius Ethernet Adapter - 1st Computer Networked 300Watt RMS 2.1 Active Subwoofer Logic Speakers ---------------------------------- Windows XP Professional Corporate Platinum Edition Windows XP Plus Pack Office XP Corporate Edition with Frontpage Publisher XP Corporate Edition Share this post Link to post
