Brian Frank 0 Posted March 2, 2002 I'll probably wait for a new board, but I may look into the Epox KT333 board when it hits. That or the 8KHA+ in the future. But first, when I get my tax return, I'm getting a new monitor. Share this post Link to post

clutch 1 Posted March 2, 2002 Just upped my proc to 150FSB (Quad-Pimped ), so now my little 1.6GHz is running at 2.4GHz. I had bumped the voltage to 1.55, but I might bring it back down again to see what happens. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted March 3, 2002 Ahh, silly me. My freakin USB card doesn't like high FSB's, which is a bit of a problem since I've already given up the on-board USB due to the KT266 chipset. Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted March 3, 2002 Well, what speed does your PCI bus run at a your target CPU FSB? My PCI bus runs asynchronously from my CPU FSB so it stays at 33MHz. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted March 3, 2002 This board doesn't have a lot of OCing options, among those that you mentioned. I'll probably get a KT333 board when they're available, probably the one from EPoX. For right now, I guess It'll just have to be the ol multiplier for me. I had it at a 151MHz FSB, and the PCI divider tops out at 4. All other cards worked fine, which is what makes me kinda mad. ATI has definitely come around with their drivers. Perfect, no, but a helluva lot better than they were at the launch of the original Radeon. Share this post Link to post

JP- 0 Posted March 6, 2002 Ive been playing: Deus Ex Max Payne Counter-strike (with 16x ansi filtering and still getting 99fps, looks really sweet). 3D Mark 2001 (i know you dont really "play" it ) Star Trek: Bridge Commander Medal of Honour RTCW and many more not tried any cad/3d stuff though, no need for me to be doing stuff like that Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted March 6, 2002 Most of the reports regarding your series of card were within the first few months it came out, and ATi has had a long history of taking forever to update their drivers (or just not update them at all). Looks like you have good timing; good drivers, and probably a good price to go with it. Share this post Link to post
