w00t maxtor all the way i have maxtor drives in almost every machine i run except for my server and my parents

I've seen 3 maxtors blow out, but they were under warranty and the RMA process involves no BS from them. I've been happy with every Western Digital drive I've come across, as none of them have failed yet. The most screwed up one got was the power connector is a little loose, but I don't plan on taking it out of the fileserver anytime soon.

yeah i had a western digital drive once it was 5400 rpm 30 gig but it got stolen from me and i never figured out who took it

well i am started on my 3 rd rig and the search for parts.

8 gig maxtor

 

so far i need a case.monitor,cpu, cd rom of some sort,ide cables,

 

i just added a 56x cd rom and a floppy that works w00t to the server

i am relly bored with nothing to do so i figured might as well post that i have 3 comps in my bed room for the time being.my brother is having some modem probs the thing is, is that xp install his modem

d everythin but when he goes to use it he gets nothing. sounds to me like a dead modem. he has tryied switching it to different pci slotand uninstalling it i am gonna try installing it today from the disk that came with it but i doubht it will work but it's worth a try

my comclusion i think the modem is dead. it's a best data data fax

i NEVER had a Maxtor die,but i did have a Western digital die on me once...(Fatal hard disk error)....

i wait to buy the fastest highest quality **** i can instead of buying cheep **** and running it out of spec or running into compatibility issues

If you overclock right you have no incompatibility 'issues'

 

Authough i do see people that think that there athlon 1 @ 1.7 is stable just cos it manages 1 run of 3dmark *cough* madonion.com *cough*
