I already had a mouse and an external 5"1/4 floppy drive hooked to the box. It was a fantastic machine for the time, with alot of add-ons available (serial interface, joysticks, modems, etc.) It was faster than an IBM Pc! Share this post Link to post

Down8 0 Posted October 18, 2000 20 pages yet? Almost... I think this was at 9 when I first came here. It's no C64, but I still have my 486/66MHz. now if I could just get the damn thing to run something other than Win95. Speaking of Linux , look at this banner that popped up when I entered this forum: I just thought that was kinda funny... -bZj [This message has been edited by Down8 (edited 18 October 2000).] Share this post Link to post

Down8 0 Posted October 18, 2000 Damn, I wonder if MathML is supported? We could have some fun with that. We could play 'name that equation' or something. Here's one we can do from last week's midterm: "Statistical studies show that supply and demand for tires in a certain market are approximately given by the following linear supply and demand functions: Q(s)=100+4P Q(d)=1300-2P, where quantities are measured in units of 100 sets of tires and prices in units of 1$. a) Calculate the market clearing price, the market clearing quantity and the price elasticity of demand at the market clearing price. Due to a tax cut the income of consumers in the market increases. show graphically what effect this will have on the market clearing price and quantity (tires are a normal good!)." I'll post the answers later. Now, I should probably study for tomorrow's midterm. -bZj Share this post Link to post

jdulmage 0 Posted October 18, 2000 may I also add that some of us really do have lives...I notice that the guy repeats "test" about X amount of times....that is just a forum flood, not a forum post...I don't count that has being something worked hard for, we each post something and that's all. We don't sit here and flooding the forum full of messages....obviously 1) That place has no flood control.. 2) It has flood control and they don't have lives 3) Both 1 and 2 Share this post Link to post

I "was" using Windows 2000 awhile ago and got rid of it because it simply stinks. I rather have better compatibility in return for the odd error or two, then have a stable OS and nothing working right. That's why it's stable, cause they made sure next to nothing works on it, they "babied" it to get it working right. Crappy apps, games and hardware support, but it's stable. Now i like Windows 2000 because of it's features, but if w2k is not going to run programs well then forget it. There was only 1 program, one that i use a lot, called RPGMaker 95. I was done testing all of my games and apps with windows 2000 and discovered they all ran, last proggy on the list was RPG Maker, go to start it, doesn't work. Because of 1 program not running, which happened to be the one i use a lot, i had to uninstall windows 2000 what a ****ing loser.....who would say that about Windows 2000..... PS. I ain't trying to start flaming again, I thought it would be funny for me to point out the bull$hit that I said....
