James 0 Posted August 9, 1999 I read your post about the System Shock 2 demo: "System Shock 2 works! *note: it will not yet u install. the install will look for dx6.1, but once install it works." However, I use W2K as well and cannot avoid the setup message stating I need DirectX 6.1. What did you do to install and play it? James Share this post Link to post
youhou 0 Posted August 22, 1999 you may try "Setup -lgntforce" That should do for the install, but as for the game i can't manage to make it run. Share this post Link to post
etexter 0 Posted August 23, 1999 I've had no luck actually doing the install with "-Igntforce". My install still comes back and says it doesn't support NT. There is a problem witht he CD Check software they use and a patch is suppose to be coming out to fix that. I didn't see a date when though. Share this post Link to post
youhou 0 Posted August 23, 1999 i didn't tried it myself. instead what i did (for the demo) was install under 98 then play under 2k. but you should check this address out http://www.shock2.com/faq.html Share this post Link to post
