Heroes of MM3 problems?

This game is simple. Mine quits randomly..

it may play for an hour, or 4 mins. but it just quits back to the desktop. Similar problems anyone?

 

BP6 w 400s (2)

Xentor 32

64MB RAM ... yeah I know, I need more

8GB Seagate udma66 <actually working>

all newest drivers

(except for 3.53 tnt, dont trust 3.56 yet)

Heres the fix....start the game....go into the high scores menu in the game....next hit ALT+TAB....Next hit ctrl alt del....go into Task Manager.....Go into processes....you should see Hereos3.exe (or something from that....right click it and select set affinity....unselect cpu 1....hit ok and close task manager.....go into HMM3 and BANG it works flawlessly.... smile.gif you must do this everytime so..

Funny you say that. I figured it out. I think it has something to do with the sound engine, because that is where it crashes... (when it is making sounds.) I figured to se the CPU limit to cpu_0, and I set the priority to above normal. That seems to get it to work. Only thing now, is that I really

wish I knew how to make some sort of batch file or startup file that automatically does this. I bet it could be done in the registry.

I had the same problem but since i got Shadow of death which for some reason didn't work under XP or other NT system I used the WoG update and all worked perfect since, but you need Shadow of death to do this..

Hello,

 

I have Heroes Of Might And Magic 3: Restoration of Erathia (The one with the Angel), And each time i try to run the game it keeps encountering an error befor the game starts properly.
