Descent3 crashes with win 2k

The game loads fine and the keyboard is detected but after you go through the menus and start a game it freezes before any gameplay can occur but shows all the movie clips. I have directx 7.0 installed and I have dual 550s 128 megs of ram and a tnt2 ultra video card. it should run

if there has been a patch for the game you shoudl try checking that out, if not what version of the tnt drivers are you using, most of them will give you problems until you find the right one thats unique for you, seems to be the issue these days, you can get the latest ones at my files page!

here, it too freezes everything whern it loads in the level (downloading level data or somthing)

 

I have the g400 howevre, and the game is patched to latest versoin.
