ZardoS 0 Posted November 21, 1999 RC2 seem smoother than Win98 but its !#@%*& hard to see what to blast away at!!!! The gamme slider seems not to work at all - any workarounds? BTW: Det 356 drivers seem to be broken - had to go back to 352 to beat the hanging prob after ID logo startup. Cheers, RichardW Share this post Link to post
Ekstreme 0 Posted November 21, 1999 Use the 3.53 drivers. If you can't find them, get hold of me and i'll send em Share this post Link to post

RoGuE 0 Posted November 21, 1999 i had the same prob with my vid card {creative tnt2 value} and i used the 3.53 driver and still couldnt control the gamma. the advanced control applet isnt there like it is in the creative drivers so i went back to them....the problem with these drivers are that they wont allow me to use my dvd player....get a copy write error...cant figure it out. peaje 0 Posted November 22, 1999 Try doing this.. on the option of the game..to adjust the brightnness.. move it.. to the left.. all the way down.. and then slowly.. move it up.. it will clarify a little.. not much.. but at least is playable. Try using power strip to do a config for Q3 to play . Share this post Link to post
RoGuE 0 Posted November 22, 1999 IVE GOT A PROGRAM CALLED Q3TWEAK....THIS PROGRAM WILL LET YOU ADJUST YOUR GAMMA AND IT WORKS GREAT WITH WIN2K....JUST GET AHOLD OF ME ON ICQ OR EMAIL AND ILL SEND IT TO YA... Share this post Link to post
TrojanFOE 0 Posted November 23, 1999 Try this in Q3: r_ignorehwgamma 1 (might be "cg_ignorehwgamma 1" now in 1.09) Then restart. You cannot now adjust the brighness using the in-game controls, but you can then use Powerstrip to change the gamma, or use your monitor brightness controls. ------------------ Andy Duplain <andy@trojanco.demon.co.uk> Share this post Link to post
PETER_TECH_JUNKIE 0 Posted January 15, 2000 I had the same problem that you had as well. Forget everything you read above. All you need to do is add the following line to your config file in the baseq folder. seta r_intensity "2.2" It works like a champ! Enjoy! Share this post Link to post
