AMD have released a statement saying that they “expects revenue for the quarter ending September 25, 2010 to be in the range of down one to four percent as compared to revenue of $1.65 billion for the quarter ended June 26, 2010″. This is a rather unpleasant situation for the company as earlier projections looked more positive. While many would assume this is primarily due to the current limitations with AMD’s processors when compared to more impressive Intel solutions in both the performance and CULV sectors, we have a different theory.
