TheHiker 0 Posted September 29, 2010 PC w/WIN 2000 Pro (v5.0); HP Deskjet 720C Series - printer seems to be working fine, but when I click on the printer icon a "Printer Driver Problem: Data required by the printer driver cannot be found or has been corrupted" message shows up; as best I understand things, the driver issue is WIN 2000 related, not HP ... have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP printer, but even that process tells me it can't find the driver (don't understand how the printer can work w/o that, but oh well ...); is there somewhere on-line where the WIN 2000 driver(s) can be downloaded (PC came with WIN 2000 loaded when purchased it, so I don't have a disk)? Thanks for help. Share this post Link to post
danleff 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Maybe try the following driver? HP DeskJet 720C Series 1998-09-23 Share this post Link to post
TheHiker 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Thanks -- had found that earlier and tried it, but it didn't seem to make any difference; am coming to the conclusion that the missing/corrupted driver is in the WIN2000 category, so trying to work from that angle. Again, appreciate your response & suggestion. Share this post Link to post
