Jane´s USAF problems

first of all i can play USAF but every time i push the options button USAF crashes. So there is no chance to switch resolution or other things in game, or maybe i´m wrong ?

i hope someone can help me

 

p.s. the same happends when i push the quit button.

USAF was working fine for my until I updated it with the patch. Now I get a "memory could not be 'read' " error. WTF Is that?
