In NT compability there is written that

under w2000 Starcraft should work, but

I get an error that starcraft is unable

to read a requied file. I had the same

problem under win98, but there i copied

WIN95-s cdfs.vxd to win98 and that helped.

But under w2000 CD-ROM is using cdfs.sys not

cdfs.vxd

It's cause you are using a pyrAt version of Starcraft. NT4 & 2000 both complain of missing required files (whereas 98 didn't). Buying a legit copy will fix it for you.

 

And yes, people in my dorm had this problem with burned copies, so I'm not just being a dick
