news 28 Posted February 26, 2011 Hi, Following last week's thread[1] about what should happen with Iceweasel, xulrunner and libmozjs, here is how things are going to happen within the next few days/weeks: - Iceweasel 4.0 beta12 is going to experimental. It will have to go through NEW first, though. The package is however already available on http://mozilla.debian.net/ - Iceweasel 3.5 will stay in unstable, and will receive a new upstream next week. - Iceweasel 3.6 will disappear from the official Debian archives, but will remain supported through http://mozilla.debian.net/. You can already set your apt sources to use iceweasel 3.6 from there if you want. Maintainers of reverse build dependencies of xulrunner-dev and libmozjs-dev are invited to update their package to build against version 2.0~b12-1 and subsequent. Please drop messages on the mozilla maintainers list[2] if you need assistance, or file bugs if you hit some issues (which I'm pretty confident will appear). Thanks for your attention, Mike 1. http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2011/02/msg00647.html 2. pkg-mozilla-maintainers ( -at -) lists.alioth.debian.org Share this post Link to post
