Getting a 60 Hz refresh rate in Q3 under win 2000, help!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Im stumped. At the same res, same colour depth etc as the desktop, i get 60hz instead of 85Hz. its killing me!!

This is the only reasong im even keeping win 98, cause other than that win2000 suits me down to the ground. I am running a TNT2 Ultra and i have tried all the win2000 detonators. Settled at 5.14 just now.

Any ideas?

Thx in advance for any suggestions you got.

how do you use powerstrip that specificly ?

I run 1024x768@85Hz on the desktop, but step into Q3 at any resolution and wham 60Hz.

Runs fine under win 98.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Took your advice Dragon-Lord, played with powerstrip and voilá.

The gamma setting is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off just now, but im sure ill get that fixed somehow.

All i can say is that 85Hz makes for wooooooohhhooooooo.

Now ill never need to leave win 2000 again smile

Thanks once again for nudging me in the right direction. never knew powerstrip could do that on an application specific basis. hmmm.
