Fifa 2000 with Windows 2000

Hi There;

I have Windows 2000 installed on my Computer now. And i installed Fifa 2000 with no Problems at all. But when i run the game i get an error that this Program has performed an Illeagel operation and will now termintae and the game never starts . So if any one can help me with that i really appritiate it .

I Have a P2 350 with 128 MBs of RAm and a 16 MB Creative Banshee Video Card.

Sorry to say this, but FIFA 2000 just won't work under NT - apparently there are no plans to release an update.

I think you need to get the cd crack then it works

It's the CD protection system that is incompatible with Win2K

I'm no expert when it comes to cd protection systems, but my guess would be that Win 2K doesn't allow low level access to the CD Drive - Win 98 probably does, and this may be why the game falls over under Win 2K.

What's frustrating is that I remember it working in Windows 2000 beta 3. It stopped working in RC1 or RC2, which indicates to me that it's probably a simple issue to fix if EA would get off their asses and provide some <b>minimal</b> support to Windows 2000 users.
