kailinin 0 Posted September 23, 2003 hi i recently downloaded the debian iso's, i was just wondering about making the install disks, do i just burn the iso onto the disk or is there something else i've gotta do? probably a stupid question but i dont know what to do. Share this post Link to post
Admiral LSD 0 Posted September 23, 2003 If your system can boot from CD (which is probably every motherboard produced in at least the last 7 years) then all you have to do is burn the ISOs to CD (using the image recording functions of your particular recording software) and then set your BIOS to boot from CD, put the first disc in on the next boot and hopefully you'll be greeted with the standard ISOLINUX boot prompt where you can kickstart the installation (assuming all your hardware is supported by either Linux 2.2 or 2.4.18).
