Jedi Knight, Win2K, & DirectX

Installed JK on my PC running Win2k & everything runs fine.

 

Installed on co-workers PC which is also Win2k. When JK is started on his PC, JK wants to install DirectX 5.

 

Any ideas anyone?

Easy fix. Edit your shortcuts to point to JK.exe NOT jedi.exe

No, no - the Microsoft Compatibility Update patch fixed that problem. Just download it from their update site.
