Dr. Goodnight 0 Posted September 13, 2000 specs: 733 mhz pentium III, Windows 2000 , a 3d card... Quake III Arena has run fine on my computer for months but after I installed The Sims Livin Large my intelli explorer mouse stopped working. I reinstalled Win2K and downloaded the detanator 3 from the nvidia website. That fixed it but brought a new problem. Now when I try to run Quake III Arena or a Quake III engine game like the STV: Elite Force demo that little blue screen of death displays "WARNING: missing glide installation" and "...could not run OpenGL subsystem" Here it is: _____________________________________________ Q3 1.11 win-x86 Nov 24 1999 ----- FS_Startup ----- Current search path: C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\baseq3\pak0.pk3 (3539 files) C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena/baseq3 ---------------------- execing default.cfg execing q3config.cfg couldn't exec autoexec.cfg ...detecting CPU, found Intel Pentium III ------- Input Initialization ------- Initializing DirectInput... I think it might have to do with "missing glide installation" line. If you know how to fix that PLEASE tell me! -thanks Share this post Link to post
Jester 0 Posted September 13, 2000 Uhhh...it might help if you told us a little more about your 3d card other that "it's a 3d card". Share this post Link to post
