Warcraft2 and dosgames under win2k

Anybody got a clue how to get dosgames like warcraft2 to work under win2k.

The game starts up fine but the mouse only works in the upper part of the screen.

Sound setup can not detect a soundcard although I have installed vdmsound.

I already have the original warcraft2 plus the expansion-kit. So I want to make sure if it´s possible to get it to work???
