Optimizing gaming performance (win2k/gf2gts)

Since winME sux, and I find myself constantly using win2kpro nowadays, Im wondering how I can optimize gaming performance?

 

Im on an slot-a Athlon700@850/Asus K7V/128Mb PC133/GF2GTS64Mb

 

Is there anything special for Athlon/GF2 setups or something like that?

 

Also, I noticed when playing "Soldier" that about 15min of play, the game got "shuggy" (dont know the english word), but kind of like stuttering, also reading from hdd.

 

The hdd is a IBM 75GXP 30Gb.

 

Any help, tips is appreciated.

try the athlon 2k patch (check the news on the front page for it or look around for a link) latest nvidia drivers and check the geforce faq (http://www.geforcefaq.com) if that links wrong there is always that news search again. I think tweak3d.net has a Geforce tweak guide too.
