michaeljbrooks 0 Posted October 29, 2000 My operating system is Windows 2000 Professional. I am thinking of buying a used Temujin game which only says it works with Windows 95. The game is no longer sold but it is described at http://www.southpeak.com/ Does anyone know if this game will work under Windows 2000 Professional? Share this post Link to post
michaeljbrooks 0 Posted October 30, 2000 I browsed the http://www.southpeak.com/ site for a while and found a F.A.Q. that said that Temujin was supported under Windows NT with Service Pack 2 and later. I sent an electronic message to the Southpeak support center asking about Windows 2000 compatibility, but they may not be too supportive of games they are not selling any more. michaeljbrooks 0 Posted October 31, 2000 At the bottom is my inquiry to the support group at Southpeak. Above my inquiry is the Southpeak response. The short answer is that nobody knows whether Temujin will run under Windows 2000. ------------------- Date: Mon, 30 Oct 2000 11:55:53 -0800 From: southpeak_support@aqinc.com Subject: In response to your question about Temujin, your customer number is 743495 To: michaeljbrooks@MailAndNews.com X-Mailer: Blat for Vantive v0 Hello, That title is no longer in print, and technical support is no longer available for that product. michaeljbrooks 0 Posted November 22, 2000 I finally bought a copy of Temujin off ebay and installed it successfully under Windows 2000 Professional. After I inserted the first CD-ROM the game auto-installed and played fine. The game auto-installs all files to c:\ drive with no user options, but all the files together only consist of a few kilobytes; much less than one megabyte. Almost all the game play is done off the six CD-ROM discs supplied with the game. The game plays like Myst. I was a little disappointed with the quality of graphics, but they were good for a 1997 game I suppose. I submitted the successful result to the NT Compatible list at this site.
