GHackmann 0 Posted January 2, 2001 Looks like your sound card is the culprit. You can thank Creative Labs for suing Aureal out of business before they could complete their Windows 2000 drivers. I'm willing to bet you've got an Athlon, since the Athlon chipsets usually don't work right with Aureal-based cards under Windows 2000. Try pulling your sound card and seeing if that fixes it. If so, your only option unfortunately is probably to replace your sound card with something not based on a Vortex chip. Share this post Link to post
