=== Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS-P) ===

The Ubuntu Developer Summit for the 12.04 Ubuntu release (UDS-P) will

take place from October 31 through November 4, 2011 at the Caribe

Royal in Orlando, Florida.

UDS is the seminal Ubuntu event in which we define the focus and plans

for our up-coming version of Ubuntu. The event pulls together

Canonical engineers, community members, partners, ISVs, upstreams and

more into an environment focused on discussion and planning.

For those individuals who won't be here in person, yet still want to

participate in this planning process, remote participation is

possible.

Based on concerns raised in a recent Community Council meeting

Community Manager, Jono Bacon, released a survey he developed in

collaboration with the Ubuntu Community Council to gather data from

== LoCo News ==

=== 11.10 Release Party... That's a wrap! ===

Benjamin Kerensa about the Ubuntu Oregon LoCo team and its 11.10

Release Party in Portland which was held on  Saturday, October 22,

2011.  Kerensa says there was a healthy turn out of both Canonical and

Ubuntu community indicating this LoCo is continuing to grow.
