Brian Frank 0 Posted February 11, 2001 Very interesting, but 3dfx's explanation for your problem with only using one of the VSA100 chips is cause there not unified, so windows only thinks you have half of what is really there but it will still use it. The V5 6000 (if it really exists) is supposed to fix that. Share this post Link to post
DeadCats 0 Posted February 11, 2001 The V5 6000 will never fix it. Not unless nVidia decides to produce the board. (For those not current with the state of 3dFX's affairs, they are out of business, with nVidia acquiring most of their assets.) ------------------ "Being married to a programmer is like owning a cat. DosFreak 2 Posted February 11, 2001 Most? heh. Nvidia has all of 3dfx's CORE assets. Tech support for Voodoo boards is being done through a third-party. Nvidia has never stated they will release new drivers and x3dfx have stated last week after their driver release that they do not plan on releasing newer drivers. DIE 3DFX DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! nnorm 0 Posted February 17, 2001 apk where you been bud?haven't noticed you a the files board lately?and dosfreak why would you want 3dfx to die?people have bought the boards and may want to get some use out of them.and 3dfx did make all of us want a 3d card.they just royally screwed up.i hope nvidia makes drivers for their cards as i have a v-3 on the wifes machine :)but i don't expect them too as they never made a nickle off the cards. regards norm Share this post Link to post
