8) Stay away from ME; go with 98se hands down. ME is more trouble than its worth, especially if you have any dos games you'd like to run.

I agree, for games 98 of 98se is the best choice. You don't want all the bells and wistles Me has to offer.

Yes, if you're going to do it at all, Win98 is the better choice. I recently was running Win98SE and W2K in a dual boot configuration (using the 98 partition for games). But I got soooo fed up with maintaining both OS's and having Win98 tank on me that I blew it away and now only use W2K. I know there are a lot of mitigating factors such as this and this game won't work and frame rates, blah, blah, blah, but the gaming experience itself is so much better under W2K that I decided this was the better course of action (your sanity SHOULD play a role in these decisions). Yes, there are some games that won't run under W2K, screw'em. I only buy games now that I know run under W2K (thanks to this site). I haven't been sent to the sanitarium as yet.

If you want no trouble...Play games in 2k...I run 2k Server, and play games perfect.

I have better frame rates than my friends on 98se. All i have is a TNT2 Ultra. Default Creative drivers..works great.

Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 Arena...Falcon 4.0
