miles 0 Posted November 17, 2003 as far as i know (and experienced) you have to partition your raid - hdd`s into at least two partitions. one for windass and one for linux ( - / ) suse will install a boot-loader, but i don`t know if it will recognize yours on the raid, so install it, but not into the mbr (master-boot-record) it will ask you so , during installation. you have to find out yourself if suse-installation-wizzard will read your raid propperly, some do, some don`t. if it says something like: unknown or unreadable partition-table, then you better stay away from it. install linux on your IDE-hd - better anyway. and keep win on the raid. by the way, to partition the raid hdd`s it`s best to do it before a win.-install, using the win-cd. partition magic can sometimes drive you crazy. the whole thing is not very common, so messing with raid is always a challange ............. cheeeers Share this post Link to post
