Lenovo ThinkPad T420 Review: Kickin' It Old School

Recommended Posts

As you may already know from my ultrabook editorial, IÂ’m not entirely

sold on them. There are disadvantages to being thin.

And as if to remind me of it, a Lenovo ThinkPad T420 suddenly appeared

at my doorstep. Okay, thatÂ’s exaggerating a bit - I did know it was

coming - but the timing of receiving an old-school laptop couldn't

have been better. Not only because I wanted to take a closer look at a

laptop purposely designed to not be thin, but also because we havenÂ’t

had a ThinkPad T series for review in, well, forever.

Quote: "You might think that these would be unforgivable sins, but

youÂ’d be wrong. In fact, the T420 is perfect for its intended use.

This is a work laptop, and that means functionality comes before

style. Yes, this laptop is thick and heavy. And no, itÂ’s not pretty.

But none of that matters because itÂ’s not part of what the T420 is

built for. This is a laptop for people who type for hours every day.

ItÂ’s a laptop for people who need tons of connectivity. ItÂ’s a laptop

for people who empathize with George ClooneyÂ’s character from Up in

the Air because theyÂ’ve been there."

Thanks for posting our news!!
