APV_SAV 0 Posted January 18, 2000 Can anyone tell me how to disable cdrom autorun in W2K? Share this post Link to post
Jazzman 0 Posted January 19, 2000 Try TweakUI. That's the only way I've been able to do it. Share this post Link to post
APV_SAV 0 Posted January 20, 2000 Thanks but I don't see any mention of disabling autorun cd in tweak UI, can you point me to that, TIA Share this post Link to post
Jazzman 0 Posted January 20, 2000 There are two options - Play data CDs automatically, and play audio cds automatically. I'm using the TweakUI from http://seldzar.dhs.org Hope that helps! Share this post Link to post
slkh 0 Posted January 21, 2000 Do what they have said... meanwhile, there is a temporary method to disable the autorun. Press on shift when you insert your CD into your CDROM drive. But you have to do this everytime you insert a CD. Share this post Link to post
jayntguru 0 Posted January 21, 2000 Try Xsetup, get it from 3dfiles. It has tons of cool things, including disabling autorun... Share this post Link to post
gunkle 0 Posted January 21, 2000 I like Tweaki. You can get it here: http://www.jermar.com/prod01.htm It can disable auto insert notification and much, much more. Share this post Link to post
Spanky 0 Posted January 23, 2000 Set the following registry to '0' [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom] "Autorun"=dword:00000001 Share this post Link to post
